Location authority
Permission must match the exact ground and the exact event.
A public shoreline, county park, condo grounds, road, residence, fishpond, church, valley, and private parcel are not interchangeable. Identify the controller and any cultural restrictions before discussing setup or photography.
Controlled propertyEvent business, restaurant, or private venue
The contract must name the exact space, hours, guest count, meals, alcohol, professionals, transportation, accessibility, utilities, weather replacement, taxes, charges, substitutions, cancellation, and failure remedy.
State shorelineFour listed Wiki Permit shorelines
The May 2025 list identifies Kepuhi, Kupeke, Pāpōhaku, and Pūkoʻo shorelines. Confirm the current map and boundary. Shoreline permission does not include an adjoining park, road, residence, fishpond, cultural site, or private parcel and does not create privacy.
County propertyMaui County park or community facility
Use the Molokaʻi Parks Office for the exact facility and activity. A reservation request is not approval, and county permission does not automatically include adjacent shoreline, setup, food, alcohol, amplified sound, or private land.
Lodging propertyCondo, vacation unit, B&B, or residence
Verify the exact legal transient-use basis, management and association rules, then separately document wedding use, visitors, vendors, parking, sound, structures, insurance, fire safety, utilities, sanitation, and the weather replacement.
Private or culturally sensitive landRanch, fishpond, valley, trail, church, or rural parcel
A view, road, map pin, social post, or public trail does not prove commercial event rights. Identify the owner, land controller, and any cultural or community restrictions before discussing guests, photography, vehicles, setup, or publicity.
