Who is behind the information
About and editorial standards
Island Weddings of Hawaii is an independent planning resource built to help couples eliminate weak destination-wedding plans before they pay deposits. It is not a venue directory, travel agency, wedding-planning service, or vendor-ranking site.
What the site is for
The guides focus on decisions that can make or break a Hawaiʻi wedding: total cost, guest travel, legal requirements, location permission, lodging, transportation, accessibility, weather backups, vendor coverage, and island-specific limits.
The goal is not to name a universal best island. The goal is to make each couple prove that the real plan works for their people, dates, budget, and chosen working area.
How information is researched
- Use the responsible government agency or other primary authority whenever one exists.
- Separate statewide rules from county, federal, private-property, venue, airline, and vendor requirements.
- State the review date on planning pages and link readers to the source used.
- Label planning judgments as judgments instead of presenting them as legal facts.
- Avoid unnamed ‘best vendor’ claims, paid rankings, copied venue lists, and unsupported price promises.
Independence and commercial relationships
No vendor can buy a favorable conclusion in the planning guides. If the site later uses advertising, sponsorships, affiliate links, complimentary services, or paid placements, the relationship will be disclosed where it can affect a reader’s judgment.
A link to an agency, business, venue, carrier, or other site is a source or navigation aid. It is not an endorsement or a guarantee of performance.
Corrections
Substantive factual errors are corrected when verified. Important corrections may include an updated review date or a short explanation when the earlier wording could have changed a planning decision.
